Start with the exact model
Two displays of similar size can represent different equipment. Provide the manufacturer and full model number rather than describing every screen as a medical monitor. Note quantities by model and whether units are new, used, incomplete, or of unknown condition. Use label photos if your team cannot confidently transcribe the model details.
Describe what you actually know
State whether the display powers on, whether there are visible defects, and whether its operating condition has been checked by authorized staff. Do not claim calibration status or clinical suitability without supporting records. An evaluation inquiry is more useful when unknowns are identified clearly than when a generic description makes every unit sound identical.
List accessories and attached devices
Include stands, power supplies, cables, and any associated workstation as separate line items. Identify storage if the display or connected system contains it. Keep patient information out of photographs and messages. Ordinary displays without storage should not be automatically described as holding patient records, but attached computers and embedded media should be reviewed by IT.
Agree on evaluation and payment terms
Ask whether the review is an initial estimate or a final offer and when payment would occur. Under Stark’s qualifying resale arrangements, businesses can receive payment after equipment sells according to agreed payout terms. Eligibility depends on the actual equipment and review; no amount should be assumed from a model name alone. Send an organized inventory so recycling, data destruction, and any purchase opportunity can be considered separately.
Quick checklist
- Use complete model numbers.
- Describe known condition honestly.
- List accessories separately.
Common question
Can an initial photo determine the final monitor payout?
Photos and model numbers support a preliminary review, but do not assume they establish a final agreement. Ask what inspection or evaluation remains and how payment is determined. Keep the confirmed terms with the inventory so the eventual payout can be reviewed consistently.
